Tips and Advice

Our best advice to you:

Buy pre-owned and save BIG

The fastest growing segment of the copier industry is the pre-owned and refurbished market. It's not the age of an office machine that counts...it's the added value. Another aspect of Anden’s diversified business offerings is rebuilding bursters, decollators, folders, shredders, and check signers used for paper management.

Anden provides the most cost-effective office equipment anywhere, anytime. We purchase pre-owned equipment, recondition it, and sell it to you at a fraction of the at-new cost.  For the past 25 years, Anden has sold and serviced pre-owned office equipment at a price smaller companies can afford.  Rent, lease and lease-with-purchase option (L.P.O.) arrangements can be designed to meet your specific needs.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one. Anden is frugal, and we pass that on to you. Anden provides the solution by completely remanufacturing, stripping, and getting a used copier back to factory condition. Hence the added value. Better yet, because we make sure every piece of equipment works properly before we sell it, you aren’t taking any unnecessary risk in buying pre-owned office equipment. Each machine comes with a parts and service warranty covering a full 90 days.

Anden's Quick Tips:

About reconditioned toner cartridges

  • The toner cartridge will empty faster when copying pages with lots of print or pictures
  • Because there are no counters on your machine, the only way to know the number of copies made is to keep record of your reams of paper.
  • The color code for fullness on the cartridges is often incorrect.
  • The black line that appears on your copy and continues to get larger as time goes by is due to the drum and blade in the cartridge and not the toner
  • Reconditioned toner cartridges performances are equal to new cartridges and usually for nearly half the price.

  About preowned photocopiers
  • New photocopiers have an immediate 40-60% drop in resale value when delivery is taken.
  • It's best to know three things when purchasing a copier:
    • How many copies will be produced monthly?
    • What are your required features?
    • What are your space requirements?
  • Check the overall condition of the machine.  The best values are often obtained with a machine 5 to 8 years old.  Parts and supplies are generally available for up to 15 years after the date of machine manufacture.
  • Observe the copy quality.  Look for a good copy and a nice, clear background, which indicates that the condition of the drum, fuser roller and developer are also good.
  • Run copies through the various cassettes and, if applicable, also the sorter, auto-document feeder and duplexer unit.  This checks the condition of paper feed tires/rollers, feed mechanisms and the accompanying clutches.
  • If the machine is clean inside and out, there is a good chance the the machine has been recently serviced
  • Obtaining a 90-Day warranty from Anden allows a sufficient period for evaluation of machine condition.
  • New items are available from Anden in a few days.  But our remanufactured items available to specifications might take longer.
